Message from the Principal

Welcome to Our Lady of the Sacred Heart College

When people visit Our Lady of the Sacred Heart College (OLSH), they will often comment on the feeling of warmth and welcome. As the Principal of the College, I want to see all girls develop the confidence to flourish and feel a sense of belonging.

We have a longstanding reputation for excellence. A community of the heart, living and learning together for over 100 years. The ideals of the early pioneer Sisters and the charism of the founder of the Daughters of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart, Fr Jules Chevalier guide our College community today. OLSH girls are proud of their heritage and respectful of the traditions of the College. At Our Lady of the Sacred Heart College, learning is at the centre of all that we do. We understand the responsibility as educators to provide an authentic learning framework that promotes intellectual rigour with the appropriate levels of challenge.

OLSH’s learning and teaching environment promotes confident young women, creative and critical thinkers. It is an environment that nurtures the development of young women who are collaborative, resilient, agile and innovative.

Knowing our students and catering for their learning needs is a priority of all staff. We aim to develop the whole person, through our breadth of educational, spiritual, cultural and sporting offerings. OLSH offers a rich and varied co-curricular program. Our students leave OLSH with a sense of purpose and equipped to be discerning and caring members of the global community.

I invite you read more about our wonderful school and vibrant community.
