On the 12th May, Charmaine Morales, Alana Novak and Anna Maree Daras attended the annual Mock United Nations Assembly (MUNA) at the Nan Tien Temple in Wollongong. Twenty-five schools from around eastern New South Wales attended the day, and each represented a different country. Our girls represented Mexico, and dressed up in traditional Mexican dress (sombreros, ponchos and fake moustaches!). The room was set up like the actual UN in New York and the day consisted of several debates based on real issues the UN is currently
facing.

OnStage is a presentation and exhibition of group and individual performances and projects by Higher School Certificate Drama students. It is presented by the Board of Studies NSW and the Department of Education and Communities. OnStage took place in early February at the Seymour Centre to showcase the exceptional talent in Year 12 Drama across the State.
In HSC Drama, every student must perform in an original, group devised piece of theatre as part of their course. From Year 12 Drama 2011, one of our groups was selected to perform at OnStage.
Titled “The Perfect Family” the 10 minute play was devised and performed by three exceptionally creative and talented students – Alicia Dulnuan-Demou, Lisa Hwang and Isabella Rosenthal.
Members of the OLSH community including staff and Senior Drama students went along to support the girls and were witness to a wonderful range of dramatic performances.
